ADHD Basics
A curated activity site for Child and Youth Care Workers
Welcome!
ADHD is one of the most diagnosed neurodevelopment disorders amongst children. 9.4% of children will be diagnosed in the USA, according to the CDC. While that number seems small, that equates to 6.1 million children – not including all the children who don’t get diagnosed!
There are a lot of myths and misunderstandings around ADHD despite how well researched it is – commonly there’s also a lot of strategies that exist that aren’t ADHD friendly. This site will help you better understand ADHD, learn new strategies, and dispel myths.
“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” The question I have for you at this point of our journey together is, “What is your genius?“
Albert Einstein
